Know what needs attention. Know what to do next.
We inspect the visible condition and operation of fire doors, explain the findings clearly and help you prioritise the next steps for your property.
A clear view of the whole doorset
A fire door depends on its leaf, frame and components working together. A visual inspection looks beyond the door surface to the details that affect its operation.
What we look at
- The door leaf, frame and any visible damage or alteration
- Gaps around the door and at the threshold
- Intumescent and smoke seals
- Hinges, closer, latch and other fitted hardware
- Any glazing and the condition of its visible components
- Whether the door closes and latches as intended
We explain what was observed and where further evidence, specialist assessment or remedial work may be needed. The correct solution depends on the individual door and its supporting documentation.
Who this is for
We work with homeowners, landlords, managing agents and organisations responsible for individual doors or larger groups of doors. If you have photographs or an existing report, include them in your enquiry so we can understand the starting point.
